It's all in the name.
I had heard of Anna before even meeting her. We had common high school friends, but never really met. When I got to UP, I had her of her again, because apparently we were in the same course. And from all these people I kept hearing from, they all said one thing: Anna Canlas is brilliant.

I don't have to refer to her transcript, because for sure, it's just got one straight line of unos written down on it. But other than academic excellence, Anna's got wit and a sharp mind that can battle you from the "serious" issues to analyzing the latest episode of the Hills. An intellectual snob, she isn't.

This girl just shines and shines and shines. In everything she does too. Be it styling others or herself (I don't think I've ever seen Anna look plain -- she's always got some wonderful clothes on or the cutest accessories), doing her work for the council, tutoring children, or just hanging out, Anna always shines.

But really more than all this, Anna is a brilliant friend and confidante. I know that my secrets are safe with her and she is never one to judge. Always ready to lend you her notes or her clothes or her "pigeon hole-slash-locker," Anna makes sure life is better for you in any way she can help.

Here's to rocking 185 and beyond. I wouldn't trade my CWTS days with you for anything else. Ahem. Happy Birthday Anna Perfecto Canlas.
